One Year!!
One year.... can you believe it? One year ago today Torrey and I corresponded for the first time through email. It's hard to believe it. Some people are skeptical of online dating..and believe me... I couldn't agree more...God works in mysterious ways, that is for sure. So many things have happened this year, things I thought wouldn't ever happen, both good, both bad...But God is just awesome you know? His Grace and Mercy is INCREDIBLE. Never in one year's time would I have thought that I would have met a guy online...let a lone an incredible born again believer who wants to do ministry, meet him... get engaged to him...him move to memphis..then we both end up in Missouri. WOW... never ever... but boy I have learned so much. Last night at this bible study I am going to, the lady talked about God's will. How you are in God's will right now. You are here, you are doing what your doing in your life for a reason. God has a unique plan for your life.. and you are being obedient. You know and only you know in your heart if you are truly doing what God wants you to do. It's not for others to judge and or tell you. But it's ultimately in the end b/t you and God.. You need to have discernment. So you know when you need to listen to others, and when to kind of block them out. Of course don't be a jerk. But take what you hear from others before God and aske him to show you what to take to heart and what to allow to go through one year and right out the other.
You know another thing...that was our Scripture this last week comes from Proverbs 16:24 "Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones." The words you say to each other can and do make all the difference in the world... are you going to lift people up...OR put them down?? And hey here is a challenge for you. Today whenever you talk to someone... make sure you lift them up in a positive way..no negativity..see what a difference it makes.
What can I say God is faithful and true to me always... He never leaves us nor forsakes us... and he NEVER gives us more than we can handle. Sometimes I think he is out of his mind for giving stuff to deal w/ but hey... he is testing me for whatever reason. I am DETERMINED to come out w/ a testimony one way or another..
Peace out everyone!

A lot has gone on in a year! Just remember it is between you and God, but he does tell us in
1Peter 5:5 to submit
(=To yield or surrender (oneself) to the will or authority of another.
To subject to a condition or process. To commit (something) to the consideration or judgment of another. To offer as a proposition or contention)
yourselves to your elders, be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility(Humility=marked by meekness or modesty in behavior, attitude, or spirit; not arrogant or prideful. Showing deferential or submissive respect: a humble apology. Low in rank, quality, or station; unpretentious or lowly)
God will resist the proud, BUT give grace to the humble. SO humble yourself before God, that in due time HE may exalt you, cast ALL your cares upon him for he CARES FOR YOU!
Seeking God is the best way to get through Life's learning expieriences....
talk later
