IOWA

It was a first for me this weekend. A trip to the lovely, yet very boring state of Iowa. Torrey's family is from there and we went to go and have Thanksgiving dinner with them. Torrey's father lives up there and we saw him as well. It takes about 5 hrs to get there and we road w/ Torrey's mom and step dad. The time we spent with his dad was fun. Although the dinner we had was HORRIBLE. We went to this Chinese restaurant and both me and Torrey got sick from it. It was BAD!!!! Still not feeling too fab from it. Then Sunday came along and we had the "traditional" Thanksgiving dinner w/ his Mom's side of the family. It was pretty good I must say. And now I am back at work hoping to get something done. Our thing here hasn't been working. Not sure what the deal is. I start at Hyvee tonight..I will be working 40hrs this week there since I dont' get many hours in at the Law firm b/c of the Holiday.. That is 9pm -5am at Hyvee (grocery store) and then 6am-12pm or 2 pm at the firm So yep..that's about it....I many not get to write for awhile..so in case I don't..have a SAFE & HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! GOBBLE..GOBBLE..GOBBLE!!Peace out for now...

VERY BORED

Okay,
So I had Monday and Tuesday off from work and got paid for it. I work w/ a temp agency and am working at law firm right now. The stuff we needed to work on wasn't there, so we got off and they paid us. SWEET!! Well I come in today and STILL..just sitting here.. Almost 3hrs now... I won't be here past 12 today...nothing to do...I am aplying for a part time job today at Target..actually me and Torrey both... Peace out talk later...

Car Accident

Today....(sunday), Torrey and I were in a car accident. As we left a friend of mine's son's bday party. We are driving on the interstate and there was a car stalled out in like a lane and half of another one..so Torrey swirved to get out of the way and was completeley slowed down when... BAMB! A care slams into us....Ok..so immediately 2 things come to my mind b/c I have been in some wrecks.. 1) God I pray its not my fault, and 2) I pray the car isn't dead.. b/c the guy slammed us pretty well. Well, it was not our fault THANK GOD..but it involved like 4 cars..and the car doesn't look like it even has a SCRATCH!!! Thank you Jesus. Torrey isn't hurt, maybe his neck. But my neck and arms are sore.my head went back and forth and i was looking down when it happend... Anyways...God's protection was among us because we could have seriously been hurt on this major highway. I swear, I would think the devil would learn that no matter how many car wrecks I am involved in, I have God w/ me to protect me... LOVE YOU ALL...Peace out...

Last week at church a guy by the name of Robert Rogers came to my church. This guy lost all 4 of his children and wife in one night due to a flood out here in Kansas City 2 yrs ago. Amazing story, how this guy goes around the world speaking is beyond me. It by the Grace of God this guy is able to do this.

Also, you guys have heard me talk about Upward Basketball . This is what Torrey helps coach on Saturdays. I think it's 70% of the kids involved in it w/ our church are NOT even members! How incredible is that. It is such an incredible outreach to the community. I am so blessed to have found this chuch and have been able to get plugged in so fast. This chuch is all about reaching out and connecting w/ the community. For example, this summer, in 1 week over 700 volunteers from our church helped paint the public schools here in Liberty where I live. How awesome is that, you see the heart and desire to serve. It's awesome! I'm blessed out here, having only really gone to one other church my whole life.. Which God used them in so many ways. I have been blessed to be a part of some amazing churches,....

Long Weekend

Okay so my weekend was good but very long. So we hung out w/ the couples from our Sunday School class on Friday night.
Saturday we had the bball. After the game a guy from church approached Torrey about a FREE place to live!!!! It's 5 minutes from me!! WAHOO!!! So then Saturday night we hung out w/ some friends of ours Ben & Sarah which means I got to see Chandler Bing! He is doing very well and I miss getting to see him all the time.
Okay guess what the church for the wedding actually has something that Friday night so its Saturday.. Wedding @ 1pm and we don't have to be out of the reception area till 6... I will try to write more later. Peace out for now ...

FRIDAY APRIL 21st!!

Well it's OFFICIAL and BOOKED!!! The wedding is Friday April 21st...not sure on time yet though, but it IS in MO..Dress is orderd and CHURCH is booked!! WAHOO!!!!!! Talk more later!!!
